Ainda restam dois votos, mas, na pr\u00e1tica, a decis\u00e3o j\u00e1 est\u00e1 tomada.<\/p>\n<p>Doze anos ap\u00f3s ver apresentada contra si uma den\u00fancia referente ao chamado \u201cmensal\u00e3o tucano\u201d, Azeredo, assim, poder\u00e1 ser preso, j\u00e1 que foi condenado por \u00f3rg\u00e3o colegiado da Justi\u00e7a. O TJ-MG seguir\u00e1, para tanto, o entendimento mais recente do Supremo Tribunal Federal, que permite a pris\u00e3o de r\u00e9us condenados em 2\u00aa inst\u00e2ncia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>Investiga\u00e7\u00f5es contra Eduardo Azeredo<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De acordo com o Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico, Eduardo Azeredo desviou cerca de R$ 3,5 milh\u00f5es de tr\u00eas estatais mineiras: a Companhia de Saneamento de Minas Gerais (Copasa), a Companhia Mineradora de Minas Gerais (Comig) e o extinto Banco do Estado de Minas Gerais (Bemge), durante sua campanha para reelei\u00e7\u00e3o ao Senado em 1998. Na ocasi\u00e3o, perdeu o pleito para Itamar Franco (PMDB).<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com a den\u00fancia, os recursos das estatais foram transferidos para empresas do publicit\u00e1rio Marcos Val\u00e9rio, operador do esquema de corrup\u00e7\u00e3o e que, no futuro, estaria implicado no chamado \u201cesc\u00e2ndalo do mensal\u00e3o\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Os valores eram destinados ao patroc\u00ednio do evento Enduro Nacional da Independ\u00eancia, mas a movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o ocorreu sem nenhuma licita\u00e7\u00e3o e nem formaliza\u00e7\u00e3o de contrato administrativo.<\/p>\n<p>A den\u00fancia foi oferecida pela Procuradoria-Geral da Rep\u00fablica em 2007, quando Eduardo Azeredo era senador.
