Os dados foram obtidos a partir de relatos de mais de 600 mil pessoas e destacam a solid\u00e3o como um problema crescente de sa\u00fade p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n<p>A pesquisa, liderada por cientistas da Universidade Estadual da Fl\u00f3rida, demonstrou que a solid\u00e3o persiste como um fator de risco independente para doen\u00e7as neurol\u00f3gicas, como Alzheimer e dem\u00eancia vascular, mesmo quando outros fatores, como depress\u00e3o e isolamento social, s\u00e3o considerados. Para os autores, os resultados refor\u00e7am a import\u00e2ncia de desenvolver interven\u00e7\u00f5es que minimizem esses riscos.<\/p>\n<p>Apesar de frequentemente confundidos, solid\u00e3o e isolamento social s\u00e3o diferentes. Enquanto o isolamento social ocorre devido \u00e0 falta de uma rede de suporte, como familiares e amigos, a solid\u00e3o \u00e9 um sentimento que pode surgir mesmo em situa\u00e7\u00f5es de conviv\u00eancia.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;A pessoa pode estar cercada por outros, mas se sentir s\u00f3 por n\u00e3o receber o suporte emocional necess\u00e1rio&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>, explica a geriatra Tha\u00eds Ioshimoto, do Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein.<\/p>\n<p>O impacto da solid\u00e3o vai al\u00e9m das emo\u00e7\u00f5es. Segundo Tha\u00eds, a intera\u00e7\u00e3o social estimula o c\u00e9rebro, prevenindo comprometimentos cognitivos, que s\u00e3o comuns com a idade, mas normalmente leves e sem impacto na rotina. Quando essas dificuldades come\u00e7am a interferir nas atividades di\u00e1rias, como tomar rem\u00e9dios ou realizar tarefas b\u00e1sicas, o quadro pode evoluir para dem\u00eancia.<\/p>\n<p>Ainda segundo a Ag\u00eancia Einstein, a boa not\u00edcia \u00e9 que a solid\u00e3o \u00e9 um fator de risco que pode ser modificado. Medidas preventivas, como uma dieta equilibrada, pr\u00e1tica de exerc\u00edcios f\u00edsicos e intera\u00e7\u00e3o social, s\u00e3o essenciais.
