Elon Musk come\u00e7ar\u00e1 a demitir funcion\u00e1rios do Twitter nesta sexta-feira (4), de acordo com um memorando enviado \u00e0 equipe, enquanto v\u00e1rios funcion\u00e1rios da plataforma entram com a\u00e7\u00e3o coletiva alegando que as demiss\u00f5es violam a lei trabalhista.<\/p>\n

O e-mail enviado na quinta-feira (3) \u00e0 noite notificou os funcion\u00e1rios de que eles receber\u00e3o um aviso at\u00e9 as 13h (hor\u00e1rio de Bras\u00edlia) desta sexta, informando-os sobre seu status de emprego.<\/p>\n

\u201cSe o seu emprego n\u00e3o for afetado, voc\u00ea receber\u00e1 uma notifica\u00e7\u00e3o por meio de seu e-mail do Twitter\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, disse uma c\u00f3pia do e-mail obtida pela CNN. \u201cSe o seu emprego for afetado, voc\u00ea receber\u00e1 uma notifica\u00e7\u00e3o com as pr\u00f3ximas etapas por meio de seu e-mail pessoal\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

O e-mail acrescentou que \u201cpara ajudar a garantir a <\/em>seguran\u00e7a\u201d<\/strong> dos funcion\u00e1rios e dos sistemas do Twitter, os escrit\u00f3rios da empresa \u201cser\u00e3o temporariamente fechados e todo o acesso por crach\u00e1 ser\u00e1 suspenso\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. O e-mail concluiu reconhecendo que ser\u00e1 \u201cuma experi\u00eancia incrivelmente desafiadora\u201d<\/em><\/strong> para a for\u00e7a de trabalho.<\/p>\n

O memorando vem depois de not\u00edcias de que Elon Musk planejava demitir at\u00e9 metade da equipe da empresa depois de adquiri-la na semana passada por US$ 44 bilh\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

A a\u00e7\u00e3o coletiva movida na quinta alega que o Twitter est\u00e1 violando a Lei Federal de Notifica\u00e7\u00e3o de Ajuste e Retreinamento do Trabalhador depois de demitir alguns funcion\u00e1rios. A lei exige que um empregador com mais de 100 funcion\u00e1rios forne\u00e7a um aviso pr\u00e9vio por escrito de 60 dias antes de uma demiss\u00e3o em massa \u201cque afete 50 ou mais funcion\u00e1rios em um \u00fanico local de trabalho\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cElon Musk, o homem mais rico do mundo, deixou claro que acredita que cumprir as leis trabalhistas federais \u00e9 \u2018trivial’\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, disse a advogada Shannon Liss-Riordan, que entrou com o processo, em comunicado \u00e0 CNN. \u201cApresentamos esta queixa federal para garantir que o Twitter seja responsabilizado por nossas leis e para evitar que os funcion\u00e1rios do Twitter assinem seus direitos sem saber\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

O Twitter tinha cerca de 7.500 funcion\u00e1rios antes da aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de Musk.<\/p>\n

Musk come\u00e7ou seu mandato no Twitter demitindo o CEO Parag Agrawal e dois outros executivos, de acordo com duas pessoas familiarizadas com a decis\u00e3o.<\/p>\n
